Abstract

(Placement Position Marking Machinefor Marking Button/Buttonhole Position on Shirt Plackets) The conventional process of garment manufacturing involves many labour intensive intermediate operations. These lead to reduction in productivity and increasing the cost of manufacturing. The efficiency of such operations can be improved by process engineering using simple and affordable automation. The positions of the shirt buttons/buttonholes are marked by glass marker pencil or a vanishing ink marker. A process engineering ofthis operation lead to the development of a semiautomatic position marking machine which can mark the exact placement of plurality of button/buttonholes by only one action of a lever thereby improving operational productivity and quality and reduced overall cost.
