Abstract
Most of the ERP solutions available today are not affordable to small scale companies, hence there lies need to develop tailor made ERP solutions orfew ofits relevant modules forthese small enterprises so that they get the benefits ofintegration at minimalcost while maintaining simplicity ofoperations thereby encouraging the users, eliminating the need of special training. This paper presents the design and development work for production module of an ERP system developedfor Malati Founders Pvt. Ltd. (MFPL), a small scale company based in Laxmi industrial estate of Hatkanangale, Dist. - Kolhapur(MAH). It elaborates system details and the considerations given during design and development stage like authority and security levels, alert messages etc. The paper attempts to draw attention towards the key benefits like operational advantages at affordable cost and simplicity in usage that can be offered to small enterprises which cannot afford standard ERP packages.
