Abstract

Fuzzy reliability and fuzzy availability are upcoming concepts in systems engineering and not much work has been done to deal with fuzziness in the area of systems failure and reliability. This paper presents availability analysis procedure with two different continuous membershipfunctions associated with the event related to time to repair. Initially, general expressions are stated and then membership functions are introduced to get expressionsfor mean time tofuzzy repair (MTFR) andfuzzy availability.
