Abstract

Mass production aims at higher productivity to reduce unit cost and to facilitate easy assembly. This necessitates redefining of production procedures and devices to increase production rate. The paper presents the development of a positive clamping pressure imperative for the efficientfabrication ofpressure bushes, using Hydraulic Clamping Fixture. Increasing Productivity of the machines is very important to achieve the enhanced Sales Plans. We introduced various Planning ideas, standard operation procedures and Pugh matrix charts for different clamping mechanisms for easy understanding and data compilation to the Top management. By the implementation of "Maximum Utilization of the Machines" project at our company. The production of the pressure bushes has drastically improved to 35%. This has changed the scenario of the company in terms of turn over, profit and employees & customer satisfactions.
