Abstract

Assembly is a process by which subassemblies, manufactured parts and components are put together to make the final products[2] Satisfying inconsistent customer demand is the prime most objective of every manufacturing organisation. In this paper, we restrict our scope of study to an assembly line dedicated for production of automotive components; suffering under production constraint due to demand inconsistencies. Paper illustrates typical case of mitigating of forecasted demand with timely supply.
