Abstract
To sustain in business under the current global situation of fierce competition a company needs to reduce or eliminate the idle and/or down time of operations in addition to improvement of the current working methods. In today's manufacturing scenario Standard time estimation plays a vital role in planning of the whole process carried out in industry, which deals with the time required to complete a product. This includes the allocation of available resources over time to perform a specific task, assigning an appropriate number of workers to the jobs during each day, determining when an activity starts and depending upon the duration of an activity, predecessor activity, resource availability and target completion date. Standard time estimation problem is used to find the actual time requires for a specific job on specific machines with an objective to increases the productivity of the firm. It becomes complex and agile to evolve optimal solution. Stopwatch is widely used to calculate the standard time for any product. In this work the characteristics of stop watch time is analyzed for the efficient optimization of the problem. This research work aim to analyze the actual time considering the stated time and the allowances on job priority basis, Maynard operation sequence technique is being introduced for the user friendly approach to analyze and solve the problem.
