Abstract
The disassembly line balancing and modeling provides information essential to remanufacturing, recycling and environmentally conscious manufacturing. The purpose of this paper is to develop a computer simulation model to design a DALB model with the allocation at the end of the line of stations with mean variability of operation times, reverse mean variability of operation times and by a MRPWH method. These models were developed on the basis of a realistic case problem and applied to a four-station disassembly line. The evaluation criteria were: minimization of the total elapsed time, maximization of the working time and minimization of the average time in the system. An ARENA simulation model is developed to test the different proposals. Consequently, the extension to the developed proposals allows us to select an adequate disassembly line, resulting in a greater productivity level and a more balanced line with respect to the operation times in the stations and the activity of the workers.
