Abstract
It is important for the industries to adapt advanced work measurement techniques such as MOST to improve organizational productivity. The article presents the contribution in labour productivity improvement for logistic department of an automobile manufacturing company located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Basic MOST method was applied to the TFA and Catwalk section of logistic department of selected automobile company. The results of Basic MOST method are presented along with the present results to identify the scope of productivity improvement for TFA and catwalk section of logistic department. It was found that, the application of Basic MOST method resulted in time saving as compared to the present time for the activities performed in the TFA and catwalk section leading to productivity improvement.
