Abstract

This paper describes impact measurement of synergy on profitability and market powerofentities. A case studyof Tata Motors-JLR is discussed and financial performance and market power for each have been evaluated. Impact measurement of synergy on profitability and market power, ratios such as Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) are used.Tobin's Q ratio was used as it is considered to be an effective measure of market power
