Abstract
Manufacturing sector serves as the backbone for the economy of any country. However, although this sector plays a vital role in global development, several manufacturing activities have severe negative environmental impacts, causing severe climate change, global warming, etc. Owing to the same, several manufacturing firms in recent times have been employing ‘green’ manufacturing practices in their supply chain. This paper aims to investigate the effect of green manufacturing practices on the operational performance of Indian manufacturing firms. A cross-sectional survey design was used for collating data from Indian manufacturing firms; and regression analysis method was used to assess the numerical data, while verifying the created research model. The findings show that green supply chain management, green product design and end of life product management have a favorable impact on operational performance of manufacturing firms, whereas green processes have lesser significance in predicting it
